Hello! We all love a good blush, so I thought it would be nice to share my favourites! From powder to liquid, we all love that rosy glow. But with so many products out there to choose from, here are my recommendations. Hopefully you’ll find one that you’ll love!
My favourite blush palette: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Palette
(in Pink and Amber)
£10.45 at Feelunique
I started to wear makeup in my first year of university and this set was the first blush product I ever bought. I like the range, and it is lovely that you can go for the pink set or the amber set depending on preference. Personally, I use the pink set and I mostly use two of the shades. With a price tag of just over £10, I think it’s quite affordable that you get 5 shades to experiment with to see what works for you. This set helped me gain an idea of which blush shades suited me best for each occasion. It definitely informed my future purchases. Therefore, it’s a great buy if you want to try out different shades.
A loose powder blush: Annabelle Minerals Rose Mineral Blush
£12.50 at Annabelle Minerals
This one is my only loose power blush. It’s definitely lighter than my other shades, but I love it for when I want a calmer or lighter make up look. It’s also apt for during the day as it stays on during errands. The power is really fine and you just apply a small amount onto the lid and dip the brush in from there. This means it goes a long way. I received this as part of my Glossybox subscription (in fact, most of my blushes come from there). Having not heard of Annabelle Minerals before this, getting a beauty box subscription is a great way for discovering new brands. I will definitely be checking out the other shades when I can. Check out Annabelle Minerals in the link above!
When you want some sparkle: I Heart Revolution Blushing Hearts – Candy Queen of Hearts
£4.99 at Superdrug
The Revolution Blushing Hearts range is great if you want a blush that also partners up as a highlighter. I have the Candy Queen of Hearts shade which pairs a light pink blush, a nude highlighter and a darker, more bronze blush together. Some of the sections don’t apply to the brush as easily as others, but you just have to get in there properly with the brush. You can also just mostly focus on one by applying it with your fingers, so it’s nice to have different ways to use the blush and have different tones to work with at once. Check this shade, and the others, out at the Superdrug link above.
Want the pink to pop? Try a Blush Crush shade by Lottie London
£4.95 at Lottie London
If you want a brighter powder blush, then I can recommend the Lottie London Blush Crush range. With 6 shades all named after teenage crushes, its vibrancy means you don’t need to put on a lot to make it visible. It’s also vegan and cruelty-free! I use the Justin shade, which is a lovely mix of pink and peachy tones – really nice for rosy and flushed cheeks! I got this product in my Birchbox subscription and it’s my go to for when I want something brighter.
For when you want a hot pink liquid blush: Dr. PAWPAW Balm
£6.95 at lookfantastic
For fans of liquid makeup, this is a decent product. I like this because of how versatile it is. You are not only encouraged to use it on your cheeks, but you can also use it on your lips! It is moisturising and stays well on the skin. I got this as part of my GLOSSYBOX subscription and it was nice to try out a liquid blush for the first time. Also, don’t let the shade scare you! Once you apply it, you do realise that it is buildable. So don’t worry, it won’t be too bright if you just put a bit on. Nevertheless, if you’re still not persuaded by the hot pink shade, then you can check out the other shades in the lookfantastic link above.
Sleek MakeUP Face Form Palette: A blush, bronzer and highlighter – all in one!
£9.99 at FeelUnique
(sometimes they do 15% off makeup – nice!)
I love this because it has all three IN ONE. Not only is the blush colour really nice and easy to apply, but the bronzer and highlighter are also lovely additions. I originally thought the Light palette would be too light for my skin, but still works perfectly fine for my medium skin tone. I got this as part of my GLOSSYBOX subscription, which means you get products for a fraction of its sale price – which is, of course, an absolute godsend. It is for travelling with and putting in your handbag for a quick touch-up – and the mirror is also handy for that.
